Myotherapy

Myotherapy, formerly known as Musculoskeletal Therapy, is similar to an advanced form of Remedial Massage. Your therapist is skilled in treating complex musculoskeletal injuries and issues. A typical session includes a thorough verbal and physical assessment, followed by targeted treatment. Techniques that may be used include:
-Myofascial Release (MFR)
-Muscle Energy Techniques (METs)
-Mobilisations (gentle joint movements)
-Dry Needling
-Cupping
-Tapping
-Exercise Therapy, including home exercises

Remedial Massage

Remedial massage targets musculoskeletal issues such as tight muscles, restricted movement, and pain. It involves both verbal and physical assessments to determine the most effective treatment plan. Your therapist will then recommend a personalized combination of techniques to help achieve your treatment goals.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is an invasive procedure where a fine needle, often an acupuncture needle, is inserted into the skin and muscle. This technique targets myofascial trigger points (MTrPs), which are hyperirritable spots felt as nodules within taut bands of skeletal muscles. Trigger point dry needling can be applied to either superficial or deep tissue levels.

Cupping Therapy

Dry needling is an invasive procedure where a fine needle, often an acupuncture needle, is inserted into the skin and muscle. This technique targets myofascial trigger points (MTrPs), which are hyperirritable spots felt as nodules within taut bands of skeletal muscles. Trigger point dry needling can be applied to either superficial or deep tissue levels.

Lymphatic Drainage

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a unique, very gentle type of massage technique. It maintains the balance of fluid between the blood and tissues and forms part of the body's immune system. It helps defend against bacteria and other intruders, and it also facilitates the absorption of fats and fat-soluble nutrients in the digestive system.

Deep Tissue Massage

A deep tissue massage targets the deeper layers of muscle and surrounding tissues. Deep muscle techniques involve slow strokes, direct pressure, or friction movements that go across the muscle grain. This type of massage can be particularly effective for treating sports injuries or chronic back pain.

Pregnancy Massage

A specially created treatment to support and nurture the mother-to-be and new mother. Special techniques safely ensure complete comfort and relaxation. Please specify pre or post-natal when scheduling appointment.
**Require a physicians note if you are in the first trimester: week 1-12.

Stress Reduction/Relaxation

This highly relaxing style is perfect for reducing the stresses of daily living. Long strokes are combined with nurturing techniques to calm your nervous system, quiet tense muscles and soothe over-stimulated minds and bodies.

Foot Massage/ Reflexology

Is said to stimulate the activity of the internal organs, claimed to be beneficial for good health. Modern reflexology is based on the principle that the foot has 'reflex' points that
